Loving Father,
our lives are full of rocky patches and briars.
Many of these obstacles we ourselves create,
for our desires are not rooted in your Word.
Help us renew our love
and understanding of your message.
Spirit of God,
be with us and take away our fears.
Strengthen our resolve to nurture the seed
you have planted within us.
Keep us on the right path
where we can grow and truly be your disciples.
Lord Jesus, open our minds,
our eyes, our ears, and our hearts
to your loving presence in our lives.
Amen.
