your tenderness toward us is so clear
when we hear Jesus assure Jairus,
and address the nameless woman as "daughter."
May they inspire us to approach you
with such bold humility and faith.
Enlarge our hearts that in our ministry
we would imitate Jesus in his compassion
for people in all stations of society.
