Miracles Song

Written by Sharon Krause | Jul 8, 2024 10:00:00 AM

(Refrain) We sing a song of miracles,

               of Jesus Christ, the Lord.

               He brought God’s kingdom to the earth,

               by his pow’r and his word.

 ‘Twas on a stormy evening, Jesus slept on board a boat.

His disciples feared increasingly that they wouldn’t stay afloat.

“Teacher, don’t you care for us? We’ll perish! Yes, we will!”

Then Jesus calmed the wind and sea: “Be quiet and be still.”

 “Who is this person, Jesus, that wind and sea obey?

Where is our faith and trust in Him? We’re awestruck night and day,”

 (Refrain)

 Jairus, from the synagogue, on his knees at Jesus’ feet.

Begged, “Heal my ailing daughter whom death will soon defeat.”

But before the Lord could go to her, report came of her death.

Jesus said, “Talitha koum,” and she took another breath.

The twelve-year-old got up and walked as people stared in awe.

The Lord told them to feed her and tell no one what they saw.

 (Refrain)

A woman who’d been hemorrhaging and suffering very much,

believed the Lord could heal her. His clothes she had to touch.

She touched his cloak and suddenly her flow of blood was dry;

Then healed of her affliction, in truthfulness, she cried:

“I’m the one who touched you, Lord,” for he felt His pow’r go out;

“Your faith has saved you. Go in peace. Your afflictions, be without!”

 (Refrain)

 In the land of all the Gerasenes, unclean spirits filled a man.

Chains and shackles held him not as he wandered ‘bout the land.

“What have you to do with me?” Legion commenced to whine.

“Don’t drive us from this land of ours but put us in those swine.”

So Jesus cast the spirits out. Two thousand swine they found.

They hurtled down into the sea, and hastily, they drowned.

 (Refrain)
